TELx: Liquidity Pools
Liquidity pools are smart-contract based token reserves on DeFi protocols used for automated, decentralized, self-custodial exchange. They are AMM pools that are produced by liquidity miners, who provide TEL and other assets as liquidity, stake their liquidity provider tokens in TELx, earn fees from trades through their pool, and harvest TEL issuance from TELx.
Liquidity Pool Attributes: Overview
In the context of TELx, liquidity pools are smart contracts that hold two or more assets to facilitate decentralized exchange. Traders can swap between assets by sending some asset to the pool, paying a fee, and receiving another asset. Liquidity providers can deposit their own assets into the pools in order to improve liquidity as well as earn TEL incentives and fees from traders. The ratio of asset quantities in these pools determine their prices.
Number of Markets
Six exchange markets on Balancer V2 (Polygon PoS) are currently available for liquidity miners to produce, stake, and harvest TEL. The TELx Council, may use the TELxIP process to allocate TEL issuance in order to assign, add any number of new markets to TELx.
Liquidity Pools: Growth Rate
Liquidity pools grow based on the number of tokens added or removed from a pool and the changes in prices of those tokens over time. New liquidity pools can easily be created for any assets. Depending on liquidity mining incentives, these pools can grow from z...
Liquidity Pools: Market and Utility Value
AMM liquidity pools are used for automated, self-custodial TEL exchange with digital assets and on-chain FX, enabling crypto exchange, remittances and other user cases. Liquidity miners provide TEL and other assets to liquidity pools, earn exchange fees from t...
Liquidity Pools: Distinctive Characteristics
Unique reserves, smart contracts, and transaction histories differentiate liquidity pools between each other.
Liquidity Pools: Availability Across Space and Time
TELx markets are actively produced on Balancer V2 and other DeFi protocols on Polygon PoS, have historically taken place on Ethereum, and in the future will be primarily located on Telcoin Network. They are available for trading by anyone with an internet conn...
Liquidity Pools: Mobility
Liquidity pools are stationary in the sense that they occupy specific smart contracts on blockchains, and are highly dynamic - their composition is constantly changing based on trades through the pool and liquidity provision transactions.
